According to Abu Hurayra (ra), the Prophet (saw) said, “Whosoever performs acts of worship on the night of Qadr out of sincere faith and hoping for a reward (from Allah), then all his previous sins will be forgiven; and whosoever fasts in the month of Ramadan out of sincere faith, and hoping for a reward (from Allah), then all his previous sins will be forgiven.” (al-Bukhari, al-Sawm, 6)
Ibn ʿAbbas (ra) narrated that the Messenger of Allah (saw) said. “There are no days in which righteous deeds are more beloved to Allah than those ten days (of the month Dhu al-Hijja).” (al-Tirmidhi, al-Sawm, 52; Ibn Maja, al-Siyam, 39)
