Nuʿmān b. Bashīr (ra) reported that the Messenger of Allah (saw) said, “The similitude of believers in regard to mutual love, affection, and feeling of fellowship is that of one body; when any limb of it aches, the whole body aches, because of sleeplessness and fever.” (Muslim, al-Birr, 66; al-Bukhari, al-Adab, 27)
‘Abd Allāh b. ‘Amr (ra) related that the Messenger of Allah (saw) said, “The Compassionate One has mercy on those who are merciful. If you show mercy to those who are on earth, He Who is (or the ones) in the heaven will show mercy to you.” (Abu Daʾud, al-Adab, 58; al-al-Tirmidhi, al-Birr, 16)

Abu Hurayra (ra) reported that he heard the Messenger of Allah (saw) saying, “Allah divided Mercy into one hundred parts. He kept ninety nine parts with Him and sent down one part to earth, and because of that one single part, His creatures are merciful to each other, so that even the mare lifts up its hoofs away from its foal, lest it should trample it.” (al-Bukhari, al-Adab,19)
