According to Abu Hurayra (ra), the Prophet (saw) said, “There is nothing more honorable with Allah than prayer.” (al-Tirmidhi, al-Daʿawat, 1; IM3829 Ibn Maja, al-Duʿaʾ, 1)
According to Anas b. Malik (ra), the Prophet (saw) said, “The prayer is the essence of worship.”

According to al-Nuʿman b. Bashir (ra), the Prophet (saw) said, “The prayer is worship.” Then he recited from the Holy Qur’an, “Your Lord says, ‘Call on Me and I will answer you; those who are too proud to serve Me will enter Hell humiliated.’” (Al-Muʾmin, 40: 60; al-Tirmidhi, al-Daʿawat, 1; Abu Da’ud, al-Witr, 23)
According to Ibn ʿUmar (ra), the Messenger of Allah (saw) said, “For whomsoever of you the door of prayer is opened, the doors of mercy have been opened for him. And Allah is not asked for anything, meaning, more beloved to Him, than being asked for health.” And the Messenger of Allah (saw) continued saying, “The prayer is benefit against that which strikes and that which does not strike, so hold fast, O worshippers of Allah, to prayer.” (al-Tirmidhi, al-Daʿawat, 101)
According to Abu Hurayra (ra), the Messenger of Allah (saw) said, “One of you is granted an answer (to his prayer) provided he does not rush and say, ‘I prayed but I was not granted an answer.’” (Abu Da’ud, al-Witr, 23; Muslim, al-Dhikr, 91)
