According to Abu Masʿud (ra), the Messenger of Allah (saw) said, “There is no eclipse of the sun and the moon because of someone’s death or life, rather they are two signs amongst the signs of Allah, so pray whenever you see an eclipse.” (al-Bukhari, al-Kusuf, 13)
According to Abu Hurayra (ra), the Messenger of Allah (saw) said, “Avoid the mūbiqāt (the deadly sins), i.e., associating anything with Allah and sorcery.” (al-Bukhari, al-Tibb, 48)
