According to Abu Hurayra (ra), the Prophet (saw) said, “The best day on which the sun has risen is Friday; on it Adam was created. On it he was made to enter Paradise, and on it he was expelled from it. And the last hour will take place on no day other than Friday.” (Muslim, al-Jumʿa, 18)
Abu Hurayra (ra) reported that the Prophet (saw) said, “He who performs the ghusl and then comes for the Friday ritual prayer and then prays what was fixed for him, then keeps silent till the imām finishes the sermon, and then prays along with him, his sins between that time and the next Friday would be forgiven, and even for three days more.” (Muslim, al-Jumʿa, 26)
According to Hafsa (ra), the wife of the Prophet (saw), he said, “Going to Friday prayer is obligatory for everyone who has reached the age of puberty.” (al-Nasaʾi, al-Jumʿa, 2)
